Episode 426 – Back up and running

This week, the winners from the International Landscape Photographer of the Year Awards are here.

We break out the violins for Putzier. 🙂

Steve Peters shared this story about Olympus’ micro 4/3.

Adam shared a bunch of stories with us, like this one of inspiration/plagiarism/theft/call-it-what-you-will,
Kodak Alaris is looking to offload the film business to anyone with the cash and the willingness to take it on.
A possible speaker-detroying, software glitch in the current version of Adobe’s Premiere Pro video editing NLE? Macbook Pro users, beware!
ProGrade Recovery Pro software promises to do better than other similar offerings, at recovering lost image and videos files (including RAW files).
And of course, the big story in Australian photographic circles this week has to be the sad tale of Lisa Saad’s fall from grace.

I have been a professional audio engineer since the mid 80's and am happy to do for free in my spare time what I get paid to do during the week. I created Shutters Inc in May 2005, and it is today (as best as I can tell) THE longest-running photography podcast in the world.

Re Peta Pixel article on m4/3, yes it is a good system in a lot of conditions & good that a lightweight system exists. But the article is a variation of I moved from soap powder Brand A to Brand B & so happy with the switch, heard often. I still have my 4/3 lenses & use them with the m4/3
OMD E-M1 body with adapter which is a few years old now,in addition to FF.I would like to see a new sensor for m4/3 before I spend again.Every system will whack you if you muck up, some a tad more forgiving with exposure & auto focus speed. Interesting podcast thanks fellas.
