Episode 415 – The last Skype call

This week, we’re back on Skype… for the last time.

The not-yet-released Samsung Galaxy S10 will have a triple rear camera, and here are the leaked specs.

Meike announces a 180° 6-11mm f/3.5 fisheye lens for Nikon & Canon DSLRs

50 magical examples of misty morning photography.

Adam told us about the ZX1 from Zeiss. The first full-frame camera to have lightroom built in.

The wedding photographer who pushed stepmom aside to get the shot.

The Pictar Pro is a grip that gives iphones and androids DSLR-like controls.

Glynn was intrigued by the question asked of Peter Eastway as to why he would re-shape a mountain in one of his compositions.

He was also keen on the in-depth story of the loss of a week’s-worth of photos due to memory card failure.

He also dislikes the guy who uses a drone to lightpaint entire glaciers!

He also signed up to ARS(E), where you can submit images anonymously to have them rated. Likewise, you can rate the work of other unnamed photographers.

In the interests of helping me find locations for my forthcoming shoot in Karuah, he gave me this list of 4 portrait locations you can find in ANY neighbourhood.

And he suggests that everyone check out the amazing work of Radha Swami from Varanasi. This week’s cover image is one of Radha’s beautiful images.

I have been a professional audio engineer since the mid 80's and am happy to do for free in my spare time what I get paid to do during the week. I created Shutters Inc in May 2005, and it is today (as best as I can tell) THE longest-running photography podcast in the world.
