Shutters Inc – episode 258
This week, Bruce is pretty excited by the forthcoming Sony Alpha 7s, but is skeptical about the high ISO claims being made (the two promo videos are here and here, for those who are interested),
Carl Hemmings reminded us about Luxi, the light meter attachment for your iPhone,
Mike Hollman pointed us to this video regarding the resolution of the human eye,
Adam Davidson and David Foggin both alerted us to the announcement by Adobe of Lightroom for iPad,
Adam also alerted us to Photoprints, which allows your friends to download and print photos from your Facebook account,
Mike Hollman showed us the scary side of Russian dating sites, and told us about the Travel Photography Awards (which he just so happens to be judging!),
Glynn liked this portfolio of images of diners in a café,
he also liked the idea of Image Deconstructed,
plus he discusses the emotional side of photographing your parents.
Just as I was writing up these show notes, I received a private message from Ken Dickson via Facebook (Ken, I trust you’re ok with me sharing this?).
Regarding Lightroom for iPad, he said “I have just started using it and find it somewhat useful for reviewing images whilst relaxing on the lounge, not so good for heavy processing but good for image review. Wish it would let you sync directly over wi-fi instead of through adobe every time though.”
Thanks for the feedback, Ken!
