No podcast this week
Sorry all.
The night we were due to record, I was in absolute agony after having managed to get some sort of debris into my left eye, which promptly scratched the cornea. Don’t know if you’ve ever had a scratched cornea, but let me assure you, it ain’t much fun!
All good now, though. Back next week.
Cheers.
G’day Fellas,
My sympathy for the injured eye, Bruce (although I’ve never heard a cornea excuse!).
Two things:
* A couple of times Bruce, you’ve mentioned in a throw-away comment, The Photographer’s Ephemeris. I downloaded it and have found it very useful a couple of times. For example. it showed me exactly where and when to set up to get some shots of the full moon setting behind the South Mole Lighthouse in Fremantle. Shots turned out not too shabby at all, I’m pleased to say.
* And Glynn, several months ago you mentioned DxO Optics Pro but haven’t commented further on whether you use it or not. I downloaded it(at a discounted price as luck had it) and it’s now usually the first step in my post-processing workflow (followed by PS Elements 10 and Topaz plug-ins). It’s extremely good for reducing noise and adjusting contrast. It’s amazing the detail it can bring out in a back-lit subject.
Thanks for the show and I always look forward to your tips, comments, reviews and (not least) the Dad jokes.
Regards,
Rob Coates, Perth.
