Shutters Inc – episode 106
We’re back!
This week, the wedding progresses.
More on the “after-the-ceremony” shots, then moving on to the “location” shots.
Also, making your images distinctly “yours”.
And Shelton occasionally uses his 11mm wide angle lens.

Great job with the wedding series guys! I knew when I asked Shelton about wedding shoots, as I had one coming up, he would deliver the goods. I had no idea, however, it would result in such a great series of episodes, offering priceless information. Typical of “the Guru Tigger Muller”, the listeners are getting a veritable GOLD MINE of practical tips. More importantly, I’m confident the listeners (as I am) really appreciate how you are giving us those extra little ‘secrects’ that we would rarely get from any other pro–I am seriously grateful.
I also wanted to thanks Bruce for his very timely and appropriate questions he often presents to Shelton. A lot of co-hosts get in the habit of no-substance “filler” questions, just to keep the conversation rolling (beware of dead air!!), but this does not describe you Bruce. I often feel that you are representing me, the common joe, in your questions. You, my friend, are definitely an integral part of not only the production of the show, but also its content.
Once again, keep it up–the show started at a high level of quality right from episode one and you have both more than brought your “A game” for every one!

Dudes,
I don’t do weddings. But a friend ask me to do one. I’m smart enough to know what I can and can not do. So I may go and take some shots and give them to the bride as my present to her. I will try to find the light and put them in it if the number 1 photodog allows it. I have enjoyed your show for along time. Even if it is not my style of photography I always learn something that applies to me. My question for you has to do with lens choice. I have an 18-125 that we have discussed. A member of my camera club said before you buy the wide angle 12-24, check your photos. If you shoot alot of 18mm stuff then the 12-24 maybe the way to go. If you shoot alot of stuff at 22 or larger then you may want to reconsider the purchase. I thought this was a great idea. If we consider what we gain from a new purchase rather that what we think we may need, we can save money. I do shoot alot of stuff at around 22-24 to get a particular item in the scene. So the wide angle is not really how I shoot. I consider this to be great advice. I have been considering either the Sigma or Tamron 70-200 f2.8 HSM since I’ve been doing alot of low light stuff. My present 70-300 5.6 is not doing the job. My 50 f1.8 doesn’t stretch when I’m doing youth indoor sports. Have either of you tried out the new Tamron lens? Thank you both for tiem and attention. If you are ever in Idaho let me know I’ll show some sights. If I hit the lottery I’m coming downunder for a pint and a photo shoot.
