Shutters Inc – episode 089

Yes, I’m publishing a day early this week as I have a recording session tomorrow night which would prevent me from publishing then.

This week, “second wedding photographer” etiquette,
Bruce’s photos of the lunar eclipse,
Shutters Inc does in fact have ANOTHER female listener,
we discuss the idea of video podcasts,
plus Shelton discusses subordinate/dominant relationships within photographs.

And, as discussed in the podcast, here are the submissions received so far in the “natural light window portrait” assignment.
I am deliberately NOT putting people’s names beside the images.
You each know your own image, but that’s it.
Giggle giggle.

I have been a professional audio engineer since the mid 80's and am happy to do for free in my spare time what I get paid to do during the week. I created Shutters Inc in May 2005, and it is today (as best as I can tell) THE longest-running photography podcast in the world.

Just so you know not everyone gets to see an eclipse. No eclipse was visible from Europe, Africa and western Asia for the Aug 28 one.

Thanks for the mention guys. The eclipse was such a fun event, except the very early morning here in the western US.
Great show once again. Keep it up.
    Again, thanks for the plug.

The subscription idea of $20-30 for a series of 5-minute videos sounds like a good idea.

First, I must regret to inform you that I am not the third female listener, but I am one of the thousands of grateful listeners who appreicate all of the time, experience, energy and care you share with us all, in each new podcast.

I am blown away that you can find and make the time for each new show.

I am writting to let you know that I too am in on the video subscription and just let me know when and where to sign up.

Hopefully I will be up on the flickr site soon to check that out finally and hope to actively participate more in the near future with some photos and addtional new earth shattering ideas and comments….until then please keep up the great work and thank you once again!
