Fraud

This morning, I was notified by my blog that there was a new comment awaiting moderation. Imagine my surprise when I read, from Martin Bailey, that the photos accredited to a Shutters Inc listener, were actually his (Martin’s)!

I find this extremely disappointing.

As per Martin’s request, I have removed those photos from the audio2u.com site, and I would also like to take this opportunity to publicly apologise to Martin for this oversight on my part.

I should have checked the photos more closely (2 of them were watermarked with Martin’s copyright information, which I hadn’t noticed when I uploaded the images on Sunday night).

You know, if I was so damned pathetic that I was going to try and pass off someone else’s work as my own, I would at least try and cover my tracks.

So again, my sincerest apologies to Martin.

Martin also does a photography podcast, and you can check out his site here.

Bruce Williams

I have been a professional audio engineer since the mid 80's and am happy to do for free in my spare time what I get paid to do during the week. I created Shutters Inc in May 2005, and it is today (as best as I can tell) THE longest-running photography podcast in the world.

    Apology graciously accepted Bruce.

Thanks for taking prompt action on this. Sorry for getting heated up earlier. I was totally amazed that this happened too! I unfortunately wasn’t aware of your Podcast until now, or I probably would have already known that you’re all above board. I’ve just subscribed now though, so at least you have a new listener! Hopefully replacing the one that sent you my photos! 😀

    Thanks,
    Martin.

    Hi Bruce, Shelton and Martin,

I would like to convey my sincerest apology in regards to this incident. I sent these photos to Shelton hoping that he’ll do a podcast on how to take photos like these (which he did and I thank you very much for doing that). I did not expect them to be published and I should have mentioned that in my email that those were not my work. I am a listener of both podcasts and have learnt a lot from them. I hope all is good. Again, my sincerest apologies to all of you.

    Regards,

    Tzee-Yoong

Thanks for the quick followup guys. When I noticed the shots of my friend Martin on the site, I had to let him know.
